Jorge Alberto Martinez Ramos passed away on April 8, 2026, at the age of 39. Born on January 17, 1987, in Chiapas, México to Jorge Agustin Martinez and Maria Teresa Ramos. He was a resident of Atwater, California.
Jorge (Beto/GeorgeG) was a beloved husband, father, son, brother, uncle and friend. A hard-working man, devoted father, and loyal friend with a joyful spirit.
Jorge is preceded in death by his mother Maria Teresa.
He is survived by his wife Lovelia, sons Andrew and Julio, daughter Mia, his father Jorge Agustin, and sister Wendy. As well as a number of extended family members and friends.
Visitation will be held at Stratford Evans Merced Funeral Home, 1490 B Street, Merced, CA 95341 on May 7th from 5pm-10pm, with a rosary from 7pm-8pm.
A vigil service with a rosary will be held at Sacred Heart Church, 562 W 13th Street, Merced, CA 95341 on May 8th from 9:30am-10am.
Followed by a mass from 10am-11am, at the same location.
Interment will be held at Merced Cemetery District, 1300 B Street, Merced, CA 95341 on May 8th from 11am-12pm.
A reception will be held at Stratford Evans Merced Funeral Home, 1490 B Street, Merced, CA on May 8th from 12pm-6:30pm.
