Joseph LaGrand Sr. was born on February 9, 1935 in Russell County, Alabama. He was a resident of Atwater, California for 45 years and passed away at the age of 87 on December 16, 2022. Joseph was retired from the United States Air Force and Post office. He is survived by son Joseph LaGrand Jr.; brother Freddy Lawson, also by many nieces and nephews. Joseph is preceded in death by his wife Rebecca LaGrand December 14, 2021. A visitation will be held on December 22, 2022 from 10:30 a.m. – 11:30 a.m. at Stratford Evans Merced Funeral Home in Merced, California. Graveside service at San Joaquin Valley National Cemetery in Santa Nella, California at 1:30 p.m.
