Maria Sequeira was born in Sao Jorge, Azores on January 21, 1920 to Joao and Gertrude Sanches and passed away peacefully on December 13, 2012 in Merced, CA at the age of 92.
Maria is preceded in death by her husband, Fernando Sequeira; daughter, Rosa Bern; and son, Jose Sequeira.
She leaves behind her daughter, Frances Soares of Merced; sons, John Sequeira of Sao Jorge, Azores and Tony Sequeira of Atwater; 7 grandchildren; and 10 great grandchildren.
A visitation will be held at Stratford Evans Merced Funeral Home, 1490 B St., Merced, CA on Sunday, December 16, 2012 from 2:00pm-6:00pm. Recitation of Rosary will be held at Sacred Heart Church, 552 W 13th St., Merced, CA on Monday, December 17, 2012 at 11:30am with Mass of Christian Burial to follow at 12:00pm. Interment will follow at Calvary Cemetery.
Arrangements are under the direction of Stratford Evans Merced Funeral Home.
