The photo I took of Uncle Pheng and China at 2nd Street in Merced, Ca. 
Uncle Pheng, China, and Me go way back to the late 80’s and early 90’s in elementary and middle school years. I was a tag along to every arcade we can walk to. We went our own separate ways after I got married. The year 1996 when China passed I know Uncle Pheng was so sad and nothing was the same anymore after that. Uncle Pheng and China was not only uncle and nephew but they were best buddies. For a long time we finally saw each other at a family gathering and was able to reminisce the time the three of us were together. We shared a deep sadness conversation of China’s passing and Uncle Pheng told me he never got over the loss and that he’s glad that he was able to talk about it to me. I told him we both shared the same feelings cause we both were the closet to China. Another conversation 15 years ago I was telling Uncle Pheng to hurry up and start a family. I made him laugh when I said are you waiting for me to be a grandma before you become a father. LoL. And not too long from there Uncle Pheng became a father 11 years ago to a son and a daughter.  And here we go the crying moment for me. Our last conversation was when Uncle Pheng brought cases of water bottles to church in July 2024 because my Grandma Bee (Pheng’s Mom) called him to do so. I went to go open the door to greet him and he brought in the cases of waters after stacking them I asked him to join us for service and lunch following the service and Uncle Pheng said next time and I said I will hold you to that and gave him a big hug. Not knowing that it would be my last time hugging him. My Uncle Pheng the memories of us three will live on with me now that you beat me first to be with China. Fly high my Uncle you finished your race here on earth now rest in peace. Your niece, Lisa Lo
