

Raymond M. Branion Sr. was born at home on December 5, 1937 in Poestenkill, New York to William and Mildred Branion. He passed away at the age of 79 in Merced, California on February 9, 2017 in Merced, California with his loving family by his side.
Raymond was proud to have served his country. He served in the U.S. Navy from 1955-1959 off the East Coast. He then went to work for the printing industry for 40 years, working at Williams Press in Troy, New York and Pacific Press in Arcadia, California until he retired from World Color Press in Merced, California. Some of his hobbies included, fishing, panning for gold, and going on scenic drives through the country side while listening to Fats Domino and Willie Nelson.
Raymond is preceded in death by his Wife, Diane Frances Branion and his parents, William H. Branion and Mildred A. (Hunt) Branion.
He is survived by his children, Diane Frances Hickman, Raymond Maynard Branion (Samantha) and Jeffrey Leroy Branion (Christine); brothers, William H. Branion Jr. and Joseph Branion; sister, Gail Secor; grandchildren, Kelly, Steve, Jessica, Alisha, Raymond and Kyle; great granchildren, Bryce, Hunter, Kaity, Jordan, Emma and Elijah with one great grandson on the way, along with numerous nieces and nephews all who will miss him dearly.
A visitation will be held on February 14, 2017 from 2:00pm-7:00pm with funeral services following immediately after at Stratford Evans Merced Fuenral Home located at 1490 B Street, Merced. A graveside service will be held on February 16, 2017 at 12:00pm at Merced Cemetery District located at 1300 B Street, Merced.
