Rodrick Lamont Parker was born on September 25, 1960 in Albuquerque, New Mexico to Jane Parker and Clifford Green. He passed away on May 26, 2018 at the age of 57 in Sacramento, California where he was a resident for 6 years.
Rodrick lived in Albuquerque, New Mexico for 5 years and Merced, California for 12 years. He worked very hard as a truck driver, heavy equipment operator; he also proudly served his country in the United States Army. Rodrick attended New Life Church of God in Christ. "He lived life on his own terms, fast and loud, just like the cars, trucks and bikes that he loved to drive. Rodrick loved his children and his family whole heartedly. He was known to have a big heart and was very caring to anyone he met that was in trouble or in need of help.
Rodrick is survived by his wife, Stephanie Parker; companion Sadie Reeves; father Clifford Greene; mother Jane Parker; sister Donna L. Bryant; grandmother Hazel Parker; sons Marcus Lamont (Leticia Rodrigues) Parker; Clifton Lamont (Jessica Johnson) Parker of Merced; Michael Dotson of Indiana. He is also survived by grandchildren; Mariana, Jazelle, Alayna, Marcus, and Braxton
Rodrick is preceded in death by his grandfather Cecil Parker and his brother Cecil Eugene Woods.
A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, June 5, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at Stratford Evans Merced Funeral Home located at 1490 B Street, Merced, California 95341 with interment following at Calvary Cemetery located at 260 W. Childs Ave, Merced, California 95341. Rev. Dr. Jerry Huey will be officiating the services.
