So sorry to hear about your mom. Way back in the day,i remember going over to her house, she was a nice lady with a Beautiful Smile !!!  RIP Shirley

How can I put into words what a wonderful person Shirley Lee was. She was a loving , caring soul. She graced us with her kindness and thoughtfulness. Shirley was the kind of person you were always grateful to have in your life. Always a smile and a warm welcome. Walking into her home was like walking into your own home each and every time. She always had time to talk to you and she always left you with a laugh or a smile. How I thank the powers that be I was lucky enough to have known her. See you again someday friend, love and sympathy  to the Family and Friends.

I was blessed to have met Shirley and be there with everyone to help walk her out of the phyical world. She was a happy cheerful lady who said alot without words towards the end of her life. She was as lucky to have family as we were to have her. I didn't have the pleasure of becoming part of the family before her illness really set in so sometimes I'd ask questions about what she liked, favorite colors, and how she used to dress. Someone had mentioned her favorite red outfit and she turned around and laughed out a "uh huh" agreeing. There were times of clarity with simple words and laughter that were special and will always be cherished. I've heard about her acts kindness towards other people and the special kind of love that she had with Clyde. Grandma will be missed, but she will not be far from reach. Her acts of kindness, lessons, and love will last way beyond her lifetime.

Hi Rick,  Judy Carroll Van Winkle here.  I know it has been a long 11 years for you and yours but you must be very proud you stepped up and cared for Shirley during her early years of the disease .  My memory is with your family; like the time you skipped school and spent the day very paranoid at the railroad tracks, out to dinner with Clyde and Shirley and I asked a question, getting the response "You school teacher, you tell me."  Your mom and dad laughed for years over that one and of course the many, many hours of Pinochle while the children peaceful slept.  Rick and family I want you to know I truly loved your mother, a beautiful person!

Hi Rick, Sorry to hear about your mom passing,shes at peace now,i know it was hard for you and your family taking care of her needs as time went by.Now it time for you to get back to your life, and remember her in the good times, sure she was a good mom, can tell you are a pretty good son peace be with you and your family Larry,Lynda.Richard.
