Verdie C. Jones

Verdie C Jones was born in Monroe, Louisiana on January 13, 1935 to her parents, Luster Randolph and Fannie Hall. She confessed Christ at an early age.

Verdie later met Floyd Jones Sr. and they were married in October 1954. From this five sons, Gary Randolph, Larry Jones, Curtis Jones, Floyd Jones Jr, and McKinley Jones; and five daughters, Loreatha Jones Simmons, Brenda Jones, Dorothy Jones Collins, Mildred Jones, and Belinda McCuine.

Verdie departed this life on November 14, 2012 and was preceded in death by her father, Luster Randolph; mother, Fannie Hall; father-in-law, McKinley Jones; mother-in-law, Selena Jones; brother, Vernon Randolph; daughter, Loreatha Jones Simmons; son-in-law, Tavin Collins; and grandsons, Ernest Neff Jr, Tyree Walker, and Donti Neff.

She leaves to mourn her passing and cherish her memory nine children, Melvin, Larry, Curtis, Floyd, McKinley, Brenda, Dorothy, Mildred, and Belinda; forty two grandkids; forty eight great grandkids; and one great great grandchild. . .three sisters, Oddie Reed, Mary Louise Hines, and Gloradine James; one brother, Jay Hall; one auntie, Marie Louis; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, family, and friends.

Verdie will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.
