

Born in Moorehead City, Mn. on Febuary 6th 1926 she was the youngest of 4 daughters of Eva and Patricias Hurlbutt. Through the hard work of their mother Eva the 4 daughters Marion, Maggie,Jean and Ginny enjoyed a meager but happy life in the mid west. Ginny being the most out going enjoyed gabbing with her girl friends and most of all dancing. Towards the end of WWII the family migrated to Seattle Wash. where all were employed by the Boeing Aircraft Company where she met her husband Al and married on June 28th 1945.
They started a family with the arrival of son Gregory soon followed by daughters Valerie and Sandy. Ginny and Al moved to Santa Ana Ca. in the 60's where they soaked up the Southern Ca. lifestyle and sun. There she worked for the Santa Ana School Dist. as a Data Control Expert until moving to Merced in 1979. Ginny worked for the Merced High School Dist in Data Processing until retiring in 1990.
During retirement she enjoyed sunny days by the pool with grandchildren and motor home trips to the coast. After thr death of husband Al in 2005 she lived alone in Merced until moving in with son Greg in Atwater in 2011. There she remained until her death.
Ginny is survived by her son Greg Spearance and his wife Heather Spearance. Daughters Valerie Victor and Sandy Spearance. Grandchildren Valerie Kazakos, Daniel Kazakos, Wyatt Franks and Paisely Franks. Great grandchildren C.J Nunes and Ellie Bishop.
Ginny will be remembered by family and friends as an easy going, forgiving and caring lady with a great sense of humor. She always carried herself with dignity and grace and will be dearly missed by all.
