Funeral services for C.E. “Berlin” Munn age 89 of Meridian will be held Thursday 11:45 am Graveside at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church Cemetery in Newton County with Stephens Funeral Home handling arrangements. Mr. Munn passed away at his residence Tuesday, July 22. He was a native of Union, carpenter and WW2 US Navy veteran. He both attended and taught at ECCC. Mr. Munn is survived by his wife Luver Dee Pinson Munn of Meridian, children Gail (A.D.) Baker of Demopolis, AL, Carolyn (Joel) Mooney of Meridian, Janis (Deryl) Newell of Greer, SC, Marie (Benny) Sutton of North Port, AL, Diane Nester of Meridian, Ronny (Debby) Phillips of Chunky and Michael (Ann Marie) Munn of Meridian. Sixteen surviving grandchildren are Tony Therrell, Mark Therrell, Robert Pitts, Stephanie Moore, Stacy Minter, Deryl Newell Jr., Daniel Newell, Wendy Walters, Ron Phillips Jr., Ray Nester Jr., Shannon Nester, Kimberly Huver, Keri Moon, Matthew Munn, Jacob Clarke Munn, Cameron Luke Munn, and numerous great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. The grandsons will serve as honorary pallbearers. Berlin was preceded in death by his parents Clark Eugene (Mattie Savell) Munn, siblings Jack T. Munn, Elmus E. Munn, Ollie Munn, Arlon Clark Munn, Onree Durward Munn, Harold Keith Munn and Eula Mae Boler. Visitation will be 9:30 until 11:00 am at Stephens Funeral Home Meridian.
