Edward Etell Allen

Edward Etell Allen, age 83, passed away Monday, May 19, 2014. He was born in Stonewall, MS on March 31, 1931, to William Etell and Virgie Eunice Collins Allen. He graduated from Stonewall School and married Lavora Mozingo in June of 1948. He worked for the Burlington Industries many years and later owned and operated several businesses in Stonewall, including Ed's Used Cars.

Ed is survived by his wife of nearly 66 years, Lavora; sons, Danny and his wife, Faye, of Enterprise, MS; Eddie and his wife, Gail, of Winter Haven, FL; Scotty and his wife, Susan, of Stonewall, MS; daughter, Kathy Carlisle and her husband, Buster, of York, AL; his brother, Donnie, and his wife, Diane, of Stonewall, MS. He is also survived by several grandchildren, great grandchildren and one great grandson.

Visitation will be Thursday May 22, 2014 from 10-11 with the funeral service at 11, at the Stonewall Assembly of God Church where he was a member and had served as deacon and Sunday School Superintendent. Burial will follow at the Stonewall Cemetery. Stephens Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
