Frank was drafted in 1945 and became a proud service member of the Merchant Marines. His military service took him around the world to many countries and ports of call. After spending 36 months at sea, he was drafted by the Army for the Korean war. Frank spent another 2 years of service in the infantry as a radio, morse code operator.
Following his military service, Frank built a distinguished 32-year career with Aerojet as a quality inspector and later as a quality engineering supervisor. He worked on the Titan programs and the Japanese Delta program while living in Sacramento, California, before transferring back to Florida to work at the Kennedy Space Center until his retirement in 1990.
In his spare time, Frank enjoyed discussing cars, technology, sports, and the stock market. He remained an avid day trader into his final days and was a lifelong car enthusiast, owning more than 75 vehicles throughout his life. On many Wednesdays, he could be found at the Tiki bar with friends, watching construction at the Port as cruise ships sailed by.
A private ceremony will be held in his honor at Cape Canaveral National Cemetery at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Frank’s memory to Divine Mercy Catholic Church.
