Gary passed away at 71 years of age and walked into the arms of Our Lord Jesus Christ in Okmulgee, Oklahoma, where he was also born in 1949.
Gary will be lovingly remembered forever by his wife Barbara Jean Romine. He is also survived by his two sons, Michael (Robyn) and Mark (Heidi) McDaniel, daughter Michelle O’Donnell, his brother Randy Romine, his sister Elisabeth Rene LaMarr (Rob), grandsons Christopher and Cody, granddaughter Haley and great grandson Eden, along with so many cousins, nieces and nephews he adored. He was an active member of First Baptist Church Merritt Island and faithfully served with the many other volunteers at the House of Hope ministry at First Baptist, helping others in need.
Gary was the absolute patriarch of his family and was always the happiest when they were gathering together and celebrating special occasions or someone’s birthday, especially his own. He was a passionate enthusiast of antique cars and trucks and especially loved ’57 Chevys. He also loved being Santa to everyone possible, wearing his famous Santa hat everywhere he went for the entire month of December each year.
