

Helen S. DaCosta, 80 of Merritt Island passed away in her home on July 10, 2012. Her final days were spent surrounded by family and friends that she had touched in some way throughout her life. Helen was born in Miami to Macey and Alice L.Scott on May 15, 1932.
She is endured by her husband of 62 years Stephen N. DaCosta and her granddaughter Alexandrea as she joins her 2 children Scott N. DaCosta and Stephanie Lynn DaCosta in God's Kindgdom as they preceded her in death.
Helen is survived by her siblings Betty Wetmore of Atlanta Georgia, Mac O. "Buddy" Scott of Merritt Island and Donald Scott and his wife Kathy of Panguitch Utah. As well as several nieces and nephews, cousins and close friends.
Helen lead a Life devoted to the word of God and had Jesus Christ as her savior. She was dedicated in carrying the message of Christ to everyone she met and has lead numerous people to the Lord. She left a legacy that honored God in everything she did. Her kind heart and passion for the Bible showed in every area of her life. She was often called "The mother to everyone" as there was not one person she wouldn't try to help.
While Able, she was very active member of the First Baptist Chuch of Merritt Island. And Attended East Coast Christian Center with her granddaughter Alexandrea on several occasions.
A service will be held in Helen's honor on Monday July 16, 2012 at 5pm at the First Baptist Church of Merritt Island located at 140 Magnolia Ave. Merritt Island Florida. And a social dinner will follow immediately after the service.

But our citizenship is in heaven. And we eagerly await a savior from there, the lord Jesus Christ, Who, by the power that enables him to bring everything under his control, will transform our lowly bodies so that they will be like his glorious body.
