Kerry J Burkey

Kerry passed away peacefully at the age of 65 on 20 September 2021. Kerry will be lovingly remembered by his wife and best friend Belinda, of 44 years. He was the loving father of Christie Hunt and Adam Burkey and adored Poppy to his three grandchildren, Sara, Jay and Emily Hunt. He is also survived by his brother, Lonnie Burkey and sister, Lynette Wynn along with nieces and nephews. Kerry was born in Scottsbluff, NE but grew up in Montgomery, AL. He and the family moved to Rockledge FL and served as the minister for Rockledge Church of Christ for 28 years. Kerry received his education from Sunset School of Biblical Institute and bachelors from Southern Christian University. He was a Dye-hard Auburn fan… War Eagle! He was an avid baseball fan and enjoyed attending spring training games. He loved this country and her freedoms. Celebration of Life Service will take place at Rockledge Church of Christ, 2390 S. Fiske Blvd, Rockledge, FL on 28 September 2021 at 4:00 pm, visitation will be from 3:00 pm - 4:00 pm . In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Rockledge Church of Christ.
