La Verne B Woodard

La Verne Bush Woodard, 81, of Merritt Island, FL passed away June 19, 2022. She was a loving wife, a devoted mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Born in Macon, GA, she moved to the Space Coast in 1971. She was preceded in death by her husband Moyce of 55 years.
She graduated from Webster University with an MA in Management/Human Resource Development.
She was an active member of the KARS Ceramic Club, and her Epsilon Sigma Alpha (ESA) sorority for many years, holding multiple offices, including Florida State Council President. She retired from NASA as a Logistics Manager and continued her love of space, volunteering as a NASA Docent.
She is survived by daughters, Susan (Jim), Lisa (Rob) and Wendy; grandchildren Joshua (Alysha), Holly (Brian), Chriss, Ryan, LaChelle, Landon and great-grandson Elias.
Visitation will be held Friday, June 24, 2022 from 1:00PM-2:00PM, with the service to begin at 2PM at Wylie-Baxley Funeral Home in Merritt Island. Interment will be at the Bethlehem Baptist Church in Eastman, GA.
