

Passed away peacefully in her sleep at home in Cape Canaveral, FL during Memorial Day weekend, 2022 at the age of 79.
She is survived by her siblings Marianne Lazarus, Andrea Marchman, Julie Foster, Phil Rodgers, and Steve Rodgers, daughter Marianne Lustig, son David (April) Lustig, and grandson Alex (Nicholas) Thixton.
Marcia was born November 12, 1942 to Ralph and Peggy Linder in Indianapolis, IN. She was a graduate of North Central High School, Ball State University, and earned a Masters Degree with honors from Butler University. She taught history and sociology at Carmel High School in Carmel, IN. She was a dedicated educator who shared her passion of the subjects with her students. The favorite course she created and taught was The US Presidency, a history class.
Marcia’s two biggest loves after family were nature and travelling. She visited countries around the world in Europe, Africa, and Asia, and always marveled at the beauty of nature wherever she was.
Friends and family will be received at Wylie Baxley Funeral Home (1360 N Courtenay Pkwy, Merritt Island, FL) on Saturday June 18, 2022 from 1-2 PM. The service will take place at the funeral home from 2-3 PM followed by a reception onsite. The service will be on a one-way live-stream in real time for those who can not attend, with a link to be provided on her obituary page of the Wylie Baxley website (dignitymemorial.com).
A celebration of life will also be held in Indianapolis, IN in August or later.
