Pat Ferriero

Patricia "Pat" Ruth (Connolly) Ferriero, age 84, passed away peacefully at her home in Merritt Island, FL, surrounded by family. She was born July 24, 1930, in Beverly, MA to Ruth (O'Brien) Connolly and James Connolly. One of four children, she was survived by her brother, Brian Connolly, and predeceased by her sisters, Barbara (Connolly) Lohnes and Katherine "Kitty" (Connolly) Citroni. She married her soul mate, Louis “Louie” Ferriero on August 30, 1948. They continued to live in Beverly where they had ten children; Jimmy, Janie (Bob) Huber, Karen Fitzgerald, Bruce, Stevie (Sue), Patti (Freddy) Distasio, Terri Eldridge, Louie (Claire), Joey (Marci), and John Ferriero. They later moved to Hampstead, NH, and in 1980, to Florida. Pat had a love and talent for quilting and sewing, but her truest passion was for her family. She was known for her big heart, nurturing ways, and a smile that could light any room. Pat was absolutely adored by her 17 grandchildren: Christine (Rich) Cutter; Christopher (Betsy) and David (Sarah) Velluto; Tricia (Brad) Sampson; Timothy (Kathryn) and Jonathan (Lori) Wilkins; Craig, Mike, Adamo and Alaina Ferriero; Jason (Ali) Ferriero; Freddy Distasio; Jessica Hamel; Bianca Rousseau; Sierra Nelson, and Zack and Lexi Ferriero, and 14 great grandchildren: Caroline and Meghan Cutter; Dominik Velluto; Sara Wilkins; Alyssa, Kyle and Brayden Ferriero; Aiden Ferriero; Jax Ferriero; C.J, Isaiah, and Noah Maner; Madison McVey; and Cole Ferriero. She was loved and will be truly missed by all who knew her.

A Memorial Mass will be held for Pat on Wednesday October 8, 2014, 10AM, at Divine Mercy Catholic Church, 1940 N. Courtenay Pkwy., Merritt Island, Florida 32953.

In lieu of flowers, the family would like any donations to be made to Vitas Innovative Hospice Care, 4450 W. Eau Gallie Blvd. Suite 250, Melbourne, Florida 32934.
