Peggy Payne Chumley

Margaret (Peggy) Payne Chumley, (87) passed away Wednesday, June 25, 2014 in Rockledge, Florida. Peggy was born in New Tazewell, Tenn. July 31, 1926, the daughter of Clarence Cecil Payne & Bertha Dorcas Campbell, of Lone Mountain, Tenn. Peggy married William (Bill) G Chumley November 24, 1944, and settled down in Middlesboro, Ky. until 1959 when they moved to Key West for 3 years, then to Cocoa, Fl in 1962 where Bill was employed by the Barnett Bank, in Cocoa Village, retiring in 1988.

Peggy was a devoted wife & homemaker, and in the earlier years, was active with husband Bill, in the Azan Shrine, Flying Fezz group.

Survivors: husband, Wm (Bill) Chumley, son James A Chumley (wife:Chryse Sawyer) Round Rock, Texas; son Joe E Chumley (wife: Cheryl Sheffield) Lakeland, Fl; son Wm (Bill) Payne Chumley (wife: Kathy May) Titusville, Fl; Daughter Margaret C Schneider (husband: Bobby Schneider) Cocoa, Fl; 10 Grand Children; 10 Great Grand Children: "Long time" Close friends, Jim & Betty Harrison, Hendersonville, N.C.; " Close, same as daughters" - Jane Lipton (Wesson), England, Ark; Debbie Moore Mody, Titusville, Fl & Amy Payne Potts, S.C.

"Celebration of Life" is planned for October 12, 2014 from 2-5pm at the Central Brevard Shrine Club in Cocoa, 1243 Lake Drive, Cocoa, FL 32922 (between the "end of Peachtree" and Clearlake Road).

"Service" to be held at the Coffey Funeral Home, 937 Broad Street, NewTazewell, TN 37825. It is planned for June 19, 2015 tentatively between 11am-2pm. Preacher Earl will be presiding.
