Arturo Rico Quesada

Arturo “Arthur” R. Quesada, of Mesa, AZ passed away, Thursday, July 11, 2013 at his home at the age of 62. After being raised in Superior, AZ, Arturo moved to Mesa area with his family. He graduated from Mesa High School in 1968. On April 17, 1970 he married Rosemary, and they stayed in Mesa to raise their family. For over thirty years, Arturo worked for Quest Communications, he truly enjoyed his career. In retirement he savored the time spent as a passionate grandfather. Not only did he have a sweet personality, he also loved his sweets; his grandchildren adoringly called him the “Candy King”. Loving the outdoors, and all of the adventures it could bring, Arturo spent most of his time hunting, hiking, fishing, camping, and sightseeing. Arturo leaves behind his loving wife of 42 years, Rosemary, and is lovingly remembered by his children Arthur Jr., Joseph, and Kassandra Macias, his 6 grandchildren Alicia, Matthew, Julianna Rose, Arturo Rico III, Christian, and Tyler Jaxon, brothers Joe “Sonny” Gonzalez, and Edward “Chino” Quesada, sisters Yvonne Carrasco, Peggy Quesada, and Annie Forbis. A visitation will take place on Tuesday, July 16, 2013 from 6:00 p.m.-8:00 p.m., with a Rosary service at 7:00 p.m.; and a funeral service will be held on Wednesday, July 17, 2013 at 4:00 p.m. at Mariposa Gardens Memorial Park & Funeral Care 6747 East Broadway Road Mesa, Arizona 85206 (480)830-4422.
