Audrey was a faithful member of the Monday Bible study at Arizona State University. We lost track of her, and I found her memorial through the efforts of a fellow chaplain. Can you tell us what the cause of death was? I have a poem she wrote, and a mug she gave me, that I will always treasure.

I was her teacher. So sorry to hear of her passing.

It’s truly hard to believe that Audrey as I or We know her is no longer with us. This is not how I imagined things would be but like so many other things in this life, they don’t always go the way you plan and sometimes God has another plan. I met Audrey 16 years ago and that was one of the best things to ever happen to me. Strangely enough it was because I got lost,   but I think this is how God sometimes uses his own and even his angels to reach those who are in need. She was kind, considerate, warm-hearted , and selfless. I am truly grateful to have known her, and for the tremendous impact she made on my life.  Her actions spoke volumes in the kindness and love she showed even to a true stranger such as myself.  Rest In Peace Audrey, your earthly journey is complete, we will miss you, but Jesus knows best and know he’ll take of the rest.

Audrey was one of the most compassionate and real colleagues I have ever had in ministry. She was quiet, but quietly strong. I enjoyed so much just talking with her, sharing stories, experiences and perspectives and then jointly visiting patients with her and seeing the fullness of what she brought to chaplaincy work. I had no idea the interview she did with me for her preaching class would be the last time we would speak. Her life impacted mine and I will always have fond memories of her. She was truly a woman of God. Grace and peace to you as you endure this loss.
