Beatrice M. “Peg” Austin, 91, passed away on August 8, 2015 in Gilbert, Arizona. She was born on November 29, 1923 in Belleville, New Jersey to John Fredrick and Margaret [Emsley] King. Peg grew up in New Jersey and spent a few years of her childhood in Canada where her father operated a textile mill. She was married to Sidney Austin on April 18, 1943 and together they raised five sons; Sydney, Glenn, Robert, Jeffrey and David. Throughout their lives they lived in Michigan for ten years then on to Upstate New York for four years before coming to Tucson, Arizona and eventually to Mesa. Peg was a wonderful mother who enjoyed reading and writing, collecting bells and especially spending time with her family. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Sidney Austin; her sons Glenn F. Austin and Sydney A. Austin as well as three siblings and is survived by her sons Robert K. Austin of Globe, AZ, Jeffrey O. Austin of Rosehill, VA and David D. Austin of Gilbert, AZ; her grandchildren: Jeff, Lynde, Glenn, David, Todd, Patrick, Daniel and Jessica as well as 17 great grandchildren.
