Bernard “Bernie” Soricone, age 87, of Mesa, Arizona passed away peacefully on Wednesday, March 15, 2023, with his loving family by his side, after a courageous battle with heart failure and MDS (myelodysplastic syndrome).
Bernie was born on April 21, 1935, in Rochester, NY, the son of Josephine and Pasquale. After graduating from Edison Tech, he attended Rochester Institute of Technology.
Bernie went on to work at Lawyers Cooperative Publishing for 19 years. After earning his bachelor’s and master’s degree at Arizona State University, he went on to teach Graphic Arts with Mesa Public Schools for 25 years.
He enjoyed traveling (although New Orleans was his favorite), he also enjoyed his weekly happy hour with friends. He was fun loving, witty and gave to many charities.
He leaves behind daughter Sue (Rob) and grandson Sam, and son Rob (Kim) and grandchildren Becky and Kyle.
