

Beverly Inez Lichtenberg passed away July 1, 2013 in Mesa, Arizona. Born to William and Inez (Tuttle) Zwemke, Beverly arrived November 2, 1928 in Larabee, Iowa. Bev grew up in Alta, Iowa until she was 17 years old and moved to Storm Lake, Iowa, to live with her sister Dorothy and worked at Page's Bakery. In January of 1946 she married Richard James Hussey and had two children, Duane Richard Hussey and Jacklyn Ann Hussey McCoy. She worked at Buena Vista County Hospital in Storm Lake and later worked as the bookkeeper for Hussey Construction. She also worked at the Woman Shop and Commercial Bank in Storm Lake before moving to South Carolina to be near her sister Shirley. While in South Carolina she traveled and sold jewelry, then started working at Wal Mart. She transferred with Wal Mart to Sioux City, Iowa, in 1991 to be near her daughter. Later she transferred with Wal Mart to Storm Lake , Iowa, where she stayed until she retired and married Kenneth Lichtenberg in 2000 and moved to Mesa, Arizona. Bev enjoyed bowling, singing, dancing, church choir, and was active in the church and altar society.
Bev is survived by her son, Duane R. Hussey and his wife Elaine of Albany, Oregon, and her daughter Jacklyn A. McCoy and her husband William McCoy of Norfolk, Nebraska, two grandsons, Ryan Hussey of Albany, Oregon, and Christopher Hussey and his wife Alisha of Albany, Oregon; brothers William Junior Zwemke and his wife Katherine of Ware, Massachusetts and Larry Dean Zwemke and his wife Sue of Emmetsburg, Iowa, and many nieces and nephews whom she loved dearly as well as her special friend Arlene Zwemke. Bev was preceded in death by her parents, William and Inez Zwemke and siblings LaVern Fogleman, Dorothy Fagerholm, Arlene Janet Zwemke, 6 wks. old, Donald William Zwemke, Charles "Bud" Zwemke, Darrell Henry Zwemke, and Shirley Lee George.
