Briefly, I'd be remiss in not Thanking everyone who has shared their Beautiful Memories and Love for Brian!!  So Wish I could have made his Celebration of Life, but have been off social media and hadn't heard from mutual friends about this.  Your stories of Love have been So healing to read.
To Brian's parents Charles and Donna, Please know that Brian was like a brother to me, Always there for me and Such a Shining Light in my life.  So Hoping the Blessing of his Love in your life will slowly ease your pain and bring some peace to you.

Just found out about Brian's passing on Thursday July 8th and am still Reeling!  I met Brian nearly 3 decades ago, and we lived together for a bit when he rented a room from me.  It was a quick mesh of personalities as we shared similar interests in music, humor and most everything else.  Not sure we ever had a terse word between us, Brian was just so Genuine, Real, Affable, Fun and Easy to like!!  Always so Humble and Compassionate as well.  I have about 10 years on him, but it never seemed to matter.
Spoke to him about a week before he passed and was the usual laughs, but was so Happy for him, as he seemed to be very Happy and Proud of his obtaining a new job in loan processing.  Told him we needed to get together for a Splash, as it been too long!  With the pandemic, I hadn't seen him in person in a bit but we regularly texted and spoke from time to time.
Witnessing his ascent in his music was just Awesome, saw so many of his concerts over the years and he became an Amazing Artists!!
I'm just shredded by your passing My Beloved Friend!!!! I LOVE YOU BRIAN and so Hope you're at PEACE!!! Please know you will be Forever in My HEART and SOUL.

Brian and I met many years ago when he came to work for Wells Fargo. I helped manage the group and Brian’s fun and quirky personality always made him shine amongst a team of many. We became work friends & I always looked forward to my daily hello’s and random drive by’s to chat for a minute about so many random things. Every month during our recognition ceremony where we would hand out a snack and drink to all, Brian always knew I would sneak into the closet and give him extra just cuz he was my favorite! Lol
When we both moved on to different jobs, we stayed friends and Brian became my walking buddy.  At the time, I also lived in Chandler and we would meet at Paseo Trail, Veterans Oasis or around my house to walk. Walk & talk…. That’s what we did. So many people who posted on this memory board, or the Facebook posts, you don’t know me. But I know you. Through Brian. Starting with his parents. I always asked how ‘the parentals’ were doing. From the Sunday dinners to the annual summer vacations, Brian shared so many fun memories of your family time. He really loved that time. Not as an obligation as many kids feel, but as a time to spend together camping in Colorado or going for third helpings at the buffet lol. 
Then of course, he talked non stop about Gladhammer. His friends, ‘Ba’, his music. The core of his soul. 
We had the walks where he had ‘girl’ drama. Those walks he would always end up doing an extra lap around Paseo that night to fit in all the details of what happened that week. Haha, he actually designed the whole plan for proposing on one of our walks! Many laughs & even tears were had over the years, and I loved that he shared all that with me. 
At the end of our walks, he would occasionally burn a disc of a song he was working on and we would sit, listen and critique in my car.
I was so excited to go to one of his gigs live and get to see him play with the band. His happy place! ❤️ 
May Heaven have beautiful music! Miss you my friend. RIP.  


I met Brian in the 1990s when we played together in a band.  Even though I moved from AZ over 20 years ago, that time of my life remains with me every day.  Brian was at the center of it.  His personality, always finding the bright moments in the challenges that we faced.  His honor, as a friend you knew he always had your back.  His reliability, even during transformative times in his own life he kept his word with us.  He stayed clear of most turmoil around him as if his job was to keep the perspective available for others to see.  He did not speak in long phrases, but when he said something it always seemed wise.  He helped us realize that difficult moments are very temporary.

I will still think of him whenever our favorite bands release new music.  I miss him showing up at the house at random times to put something on the stereo that we had to hear.  In that regard, he was a step ahead of every trend, and his guitar playing reflected that still to this day.   I really enjoyed playing with him, I always looked forward to working with his ideas, and he was easy to work with too.  An example I did not live up to always but remember Brian for the positive example that he set.

I am sorry that I could not be in AZ today to celebrate his life with the community of wonderful people that he attracted.  I am grateful to have talked with our other Brothers about this and to think about this chapter in my life, a true gift that Brian helped make possible in every way.

Over 41 years ago you said I could take the open desk next to you. We were just 1st graders with our lives straight in front of us. During our freshman year after listening to “Sweet Child o’ Mine” you said you wanted to play guitar like Slash. You did just that ... listening to you play was such a joy. The sounds you created were unmatched. You pestered me into going out that fateful Sunday night @ ‘Shepards’ over 25 years ago (the night I met Rebecca) You opened my ears to music a love I passed on to my son. You always encouraged him to pursue his dream. You were the glue to that held friendships together. I can’t believe you’re gone. I will miss you terribly Brian Diamond “Prong” .. #1stgradedownthedrain

The first time I met you it was at a venue and your band was to play. It was at The Tempe Tavern and instantly I wanted to befriend you because I dig guitarist and we talked. I have and will always be your fan. Play your music & make the heavens your new place to rock. Much love to you Brian. 

Brian, who I've known since I was a teenager, was one of the most positive people I've ever known. His presence was always felt when he was close by and his jokes we're always his. He was blessed beyond belief with skills on a guitar and we all got to see his growth and potential blossom into now Gladhammer. 

I don't think Brian had a single enemy that I knew of and that just goes to show you how his character was. He cared about this family and friends and when it comes down to the most important things in life, Brian knew what those were. I know Brian (Prong as I called him since day one) is now reunited with some of our closest 'Bro's' and that gives me some peace knowing that.

Brian was a loving, caring son to Charles and Donna. This was evident over the years as we were blessed to share special occasions with them, as well as hear about other enjoyable times they had as a family.
 
I (Eldon) remember Brian's helpfulness when floating down the Salt River and when camping in the wilderness. He was content in the beauty of God's creation.
 
We will miss him, but his memory will be dear to us.
 
May the God of all comfort continue to give peace to Charles and Donna as they trust in the One who understands their sufferings.

Brian was a close, great friend. We met at Apria when I was new to the company and fairly new to the state. He always had a way to make me smile, and a few times he helped me out around town.  He always had a story about the area, his music and band. We would watch  movies sometimes and talk for hours. His random texts were thoughtful, humorous and endearing. He was like a big brother to me even though he was a month older. 

His last text was him asking about my cat. He was sweet and funny like that. I am glad I was able to send him one last picture of my cat and I for which he probably smiled but responded with a "LOL" .  Little did I know that a few hours after talking to me.. he was gone. 

I will always think and miss Brian. He will always be in my memories, my heart. I know he will be with us all always in spirit. My condolences. God bless.
