Carol Jean Carpenter (née Joseph) passed away suddenly on August 2, 2024 at the age of 78.
Carol was born in Chicago Illinois November 3, 1945
She was a pioneering figure in her professional field and a beloved member of her community, having been called “grandmother” by many in her later years.
Carol was raised in Mesa, Arizona graduating from Seton Catholic High School in 1963. She married her loving husband, Allen, in 1967.
Carol began her remarkable career as the lead secretary of the Carpenter Apprenticeship quickly ascending to a prominent position within the Carpenters Union in Mesa. Demonstrating exceptional skill, Carol transitioned into real estate in the late 1970s.
Her hard work culminated in her taking over as the owner and designated broker of the Clements Realty Better Homes and Gardens real estate firm in the early 1980s where she remained until her passing (never being “able” to retire as she had too many clients). Carol was notably one of few women who owned and operated a business during her time. Leading many board committees over the years and running a business, she was marked as a trailblazer in her industry.
Carol’s passion extended beyond her professional endeavors. She was an avid traveler who cherished family trips all over the world, especially, Puerto Peñasco and Pinetop. Her love for exploration and spending time with her loved ones were sources of great joy and lasting memories.
Carol’s legacy is carried on by her family, including; her husband, Allen, daughters Lisa and Aaron, son in law Tracy. Her grandchildren Justin, Harlan, Jordyn, Colton and Caroline. Her brother Larry and sister Susan. Her sister-in-law Judy and brother-in-law Robert and countless loving family members.
Carol’s life was marked by her pioneering spirit, her commitment to her family, and her zest for life. She left an indelible mark on all who knew her.
Services will be held in early September to celebrate the amazing life of Carol.
