This is me and Chris living the good life!

I remember Christopher having two imaginary friends, Dee Dee and Jo Jo, when he was very young. He treasured those early friendships along with his soft and cuddly polar bear that he needed to take to bed with him at night. 

My dad had given Chris the nickname Kisser somewhere along the way, while my mom settled on calling him Bon Peepers. She would sing his nickname  through the house… Bon Peepers! 

I remember giving Chris rides when he was little. Up and down back-and-forth, laughing and giggling and every time there was an opportunity …  a quick little kiss. He was just the sweetest little guy, always smiling. 

I remember playing in the backyard with my brother, or on the living room  floor with legos, building blocks and cars. I remember staying home from school together sick.

I remember Chris dressing up in his royal Rangers uniform every Wednesday as we headed off to church.at Mesa First Assembly of God. 

I remember Chris running around the neighborhood with his friends, learning how to skateboard, teaching himself how to play the guitar, being the coolest uncle to my daughters, battling addiction, and becoming a wildland firefighter.


I watched my brother struggle for many years, but he never lost sight of what was important.  

He put others before himself and was always ready to do a good deed. 

My brother Christopher lived by the golden rule..  
His legacy gets to be an example of so many great things. 

This is the end of his dear life here on earth, but this is not his his end.. goodbye for now my little brother.
