Hi Dae Dae , 
You were in our lives for a short time but made an impact on our family . The boy that came over one day and didn't leave .  I didn't care you were so sweet and dating my daughter who loved u so much .  I drove you around town taking you to your job and helping you get back on your feet I miss that .   You stole your way into my heart and I wanted to say Goodbye and I hope you are a peace . Thank you for always respecting me and making me laugh . You will be missed by all of us .

Hey Kiddo, 

This morning I took a walk and thought about all of the walks and long talks we had.  And our bike rides.... I bought you that giant beach cruiser.  I didn't even know they made bikes that big but I found you one. Rides to the movies or to a late breakfast where we could also watch football.  Remember during one of our rides I got a flat tire? We were still nearly 2 miles from home. You told me to ride your bike home and you would walk mine the rest of the way. Always trying to take care of your mama ;)  But I didn't want to do that, plus - I couldn't even reach the pedals on that big bike of yours if I wanted to. Instead, we both walked our bikes all the way home together.  I walk by that bike every time I go into the garage and it brings back fond memories but also feelings of sadness. I can't stop thinking about you or missing you.  I hate that I don't get to make any more memories with you.  I miss you so much, I feel like I'll never be whole again.  No one made me laugh the way you could. You made that funny sound, I can't even begin to describe what it was, that would crack me and Jos up, but you'd also do it until it drove me crazy sometimes.  I miss that.  I will make new memories with you in my heart so that they can be ours.  You are with me always.  I love you, son.

Hey Kiddo,
This morning I was thinking about one of the funniest memories you, me & the girls loved to talk about from one of our family trips to San Diego. You were so tired from all the fun we were having and fell asleep face down wearing that hoodie under a tree in Balboa Park. A couple people even dropped change by you because they thought you might a homeless man. When we  woke you up, up your sisters and I were laughing so hard because it took you a minute to remember where you were and you had a dandelion stuck to your forehead. Then you started laughing when you realized what was going on. I think about the fishing trip where you curled up right there in a grassy spot next to me and took a nap with your arm around with our dog Gus. That picture I took is one of my favorites, has always stayed framed on the desk in my office.  Or during Joslyn's last birthday party.... You had me get on your back but then you jumped in the pool carrying me while I was fully dressed! Everyone was shocked & laughing, it was so much fun. And we were supposed to raft the Grand Canyon together but now you're not here to fill the seat. I wish you were here Dae. I read and re-read the poems you wrote me. You had the deepest most loving and sensitive soul. I miss you every second of the day. I would give anything for just one more of your big bear hugs. I love you so much

My heart is so broken. I'll miss that smile of yours and how we laugh over people  asking you if you played basketball then you would tell them you play croquet. How you used to be my protector and save me from all those Shady characters at the Circle K's when we would stop to get your slushies and hot cheetos.
How you would going to Taco Bell in order $20 worth of food and eat $2 of I'm going to miss you

I looked at the picture of you,ShaeD, Paris and Speedy at the circus last year. All smiles and so happy.  We love you and always will.  Rest in peace. Nan

Always looked forward to heading over after practices and games to see you and your sis. Truly made that year special for me. My heart goes out to you Dae, and your mother Venicia and father Dion and fam. Much love from me and my family. 

I miss you so much I feel like my heart is exploding. I am broken and less without you. Your heart was always bigger than and more worthy than anything in this world. I will start every day saying "Hey Kiddo", knowing you are saying back to me "Hey Mama".  Even as you grew into a young man you never once asked me to stop calling you kiddo and you never stopped calling me mama. You will forever be my "kiddo" and I will forever be your "mama".  20 years was not nearly enough, but I promise to cherish and honor all of them. I love you, my beautiful boy, I love you so very very much.  I love you. I love you. I love you 

I missed a decade. A very important one. I contacted your mom to talk and on that very day I called, she couldn’t talk to me because she was very busy making a cement hand print with you and your little hands. And then I got to finally meet you when you were about 9.  You were the cutest, spunkiest, and full of energy type of boy. Words cannot express how much you are and always will be so important to your Mom, Sisters and myself. 
DAE, there are no words to express the great loss we all feel right now and forever.  May you always hold your momma and sister’s hands throughout time. They will always need you! This world will forever feel empty without you in it.
