Dave was born on January 5, 1947 in San Bernardino, California to Gerald and Mary Ellis.
He served in the Army from January 25, 1966 until January 11, 1968 as a Vietnam veteran.
He worked as a police officer for the State of California and the City of Rialto. He also worked as a Federal police officer in California and as an employee of the Arizona National Guard from which he retired.
Dave's interest were myriad from the 1950's, NASCAR, classic cars, military, and especially family.
Dave is survived by his wife, June Ellis, sons Glenn Hashizumi and Bob Ellis, daughter Lori Cross, brother Pere Ellis, and his grandchildren and great grandchildren.
A Memorial service will be held Monday, January 10, 2022 at 1:00pm at Mariposa Gardens Memorial Park in the SanTan Venue. The family is requesting that guests wear casual attire.
