She was born February 26, 1945 in Oakley, Idaho to Samuel and Betty Poulton. She graduated from Burley High School in 1964. Growing up she helped with the labor on the family farm. She also learned to ride horses and competed in barrel racing.
In 1970 Diane left Idaho and moved to Worcester, MA with her 4 children where she lived for 3 years. She was mom by day and a waitress at night. In 1973, she moved with her family to Mesa, AZ where she continued to raise her children and worked as grocery checker. Diane loved to garden in her free time and she definitely had a green thumb. She was happiest when she was up to elbows in the soil. She often said it was therapeutic. Later in life as a grandmother she often spent time with her grandchildren playing in the soil and teaching them how to transplant and garden, that is when she wasn't at the park with them hanging upside down on the monkey bars. After her 4 children were grown, she filled her empty nest with her love for boxer dogs, which later included many rescue dogs. She and her husband Terry had several boxers, Boston terriers and a few bulldogs. For quite sometime they had at least 7 dogs and she felt anything less was too quiet. Around the year 2000 she reconnected with Home and Interiors as a design and sales consultant. Diane had worked with them prior to leaving Idaho. Diane had a gift for talking and could generally strike up a conversation with anyone, that along with her eye for hanging pictures was how she ran a successful business out of her home. Diane retired from Home and Interiors when her and Terry were relocated to Pittsburgh, PA in 2008 with the airlines. They lived there for 7 years still taking in more dogs. In 2015 the airlines again transferred her and Terry, now they were in Burleson, TX. Terry finally retired from the airlines in 2017, this is when they returned to Arizona. Diane was loved and will definitely be missed.
