

Pastor Donald R. Coble went to be with the Lord, Friday, January 26, 2018, at his home in Mesa, AZ. Pastor Coble was born in Rural Cedar Creek, Missouri on July 3, 1936 to Walter and Allie Coble. He attended a one-room school until at age 10, his family moved to Klamath Falls, Oregon where he graduated from high school in 1954. That fall he entered the U.S. Army where he proudly served until his retirement as Lt. Colonel 20 years later. He served two tours in Vietnam earning, among other awards, the Bronze Star medal and Legion of Merit.
On September 13, 1957, he married his precious bride, Jacklyn Elliott Coble, and to this union were added two sons whom he loved dearly, Michael J. Coble and Daniel R. Coble.
Soon after Don Accepted Jesus Christ into his heart as his personal Savior and Lord in 1971, God called him into the ministry where he and his beloved Jackie served in the Pastorate wholeheartedly in South Dakota, California, Oregon, Alaska and Arizona and then as an evangelist across the country and world their Life Ablaze Ministry.
They retired to Mesa, AZ in 2002 but faithfully continued to serve their Lord by starting Crescent Run Community Church in their retirement community and he also served as chaplain for the Mesa Fire Department.
Don is survived by his wife, Jackie, sons, Michael (Kris) Coble of Mesa, AZ, and Daniel Coble of Portland, OR, and one he loved like a daughter - Cindy (Paul) Anderson of Washington, IA, as well as grandchildren Brandon, Sara and Ryder Coble of Mesa, AZ, and Jordan (Jennifer) Anderson of New York City, NY, John Anderson of Carrolton, TX, Justina Anderson of Middleton, WI and Josiah Anderson of Ames, IA. He was preceded in death bby his parents, eight sisters and three brothers.
A celebration of his life will be held 10:00am, Saturday, February 24, 2018 at Broadway Christian Church, Mesa AZ. In lieu of flowers the family asks that memorial go to Samaritan's Purse Ministry in Boone, NC.
