She moved with family to Scottsdale, AZ. at age 9. She attended Hohokam and Coronado High School. She graduated in 1971. After Graduation she worked at Motorola until moving to Flagstaff in 1978. After the birth of beloved son D, she worked for WL Gore for 20 years and then as a medical receptionist until retiring in 2022, due to health reasons. She moved to Mesa in 2023.
Doreen loved to listen to live music, go to concerts, dance and spend time with family and friends. She was a mentor to a lot of young people and was everybody's mom. She had a fantastic sense of humor and was always laughing at herself. She loved Shirley Temple movies and Betty Boop. She will be missed by all who knew her.
Doreen was preceded in death by her parents Harold M. and Dorothy K. Romer beloved son LD Gladstone. Brothers Richard Steven and Patrick Romer.
She is survived by brother, Harold Romer, Nephew, Tim (Lori) Romer, Niece Katie (Sandro) Flores and Grand Niece, Grace Flores.
A Celebration of life will be held at a later date.
