Doris was born in Waterloo, Iowa. She is loved and remembered by her daughters Roxelle Paris and Penny Rosauer, husband Fred B. Miehe, granddaughter Amy, grandson JJ and great grandchildren. Doris is preceded in death by her parents; brothers, sisters and daughter, Judy Paris.
Doris has been a long time resident of Mesa, Arizona. She worked until retirement and retired from Costco at 82. Her title was Demo in the Bakery, a quiet title that masked the hard work and people skills necessary for the job.
During retirement she enjoyed her church and worshiping with Annie, AA meetings, stamping and laughing with Vaughn, her little house, Red Chevy and spending time with family and friends.
She traveled to Europe, Maui and loved visits to San Francisco. Her motto was “Live, Laugh, Love.” She kept so many people on her prayer chain and whenever you would mention a problem her answer was, “I’ll light a candle”.
Today we honor Doris’ spirit, we especially appreciate the way she deeply loved her family and valued her friends and the consideration she showed them.
We will miss her letters, the long talks, fun and enjoyment of just being with her. When we think of her we’ll light a candle and feel her love around us soft and clear.
