Dorothy Dean Gemeinhardt, 93, of Apache Junction, AZ passed away October 6, 2018. She was born, March 29, 1925 in Tebbets, MO to George and Augusta [Schneider] Schwab. Dorothy was married to her loving husband, Elmer Gemeinhardt, in Jefferson City, MO on August 3, 1940, and the two started their family; they just celebrated their 78th wedding anniversary. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother who loved her family, sewing and cross-stitch as well as spending time enjoying word search puzzles. Dorothy, along with Elmer, owned and operated Dorothy’s Laundry and Dry Cleaning Service, Grandview, MO for many years, before retiring to Arizona in 1986. Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents; her sister, Violet Herzing; brother, Herbert Stoll; as well as one grandson, Michael Blankenship. She is survived by her husband, Elmer Leo Gemeinhardt; children, Jerry (Judith) Gemeinhardt, Linda Blankenship and Roger (Barbara) Gemeinhardt; four grandchildren, nine great grandchildren, four great-great grandchildren and her sister, Martha Shirley Rackers.
