Evan Patrick Matheny, entered into life on January 26th, 1999 and passed away April 21, 2020. Evan graduated Red Mountain High school 2017, and was about to receive his Associates degree in Criminal Justice.
Evan is survived by his father Jack Matheny, his mother Deanne Matheny, his sister Jordan Matheny and Nephew Elijah Matheny, as well as numerous Aunts, Uncles and cousins. Evan is preceded in death by: Paternal Grandparents Jack and Regina Matheny, Maternal Grandparents Dean and Delores Talbot.
Evan‘s young and beautiful life was a gift to all. It was filled with family, love, and joy of the discovery of God’s creation. His strong sense of justice committed him onto a path that was filled with concern for others. Evan’s compassion was shown through his active support to those in need. He lived the corporal works of Mercy in acts of kindness; helping those less fortunate so they too, could know an experience of love. He supported the Crisis Children Home in Mesa, and volunteered at the St Vincent DePaul center. He had a love for nature and family that enriched not only his life, but also all of ours.
May Evan live forever in the joy of the Risen Christ. Evan, you will be missed. We will love you always and forever!

Mass of Christian Burial, Friday May 1, 10 am at All Saints Catholic Church, (with CDC guidelines to be observed), 1534 N. Recker Road, Mesa, Arizona 85205, graveside service to follow at 11:30 AM, Mariposa Gardens Memorial Park.
