Frank Russell Schoenhardt passed away suddenly on February 20, 2013. He was born on August 31, 1949 to Frank and Gertrude (Krull) Schoenhardt in Freeport, IL, and graduated from Forreston High School. He served our country in the Army during the Vietnam War. He attended college in Minneapolis, MN. He married the love of his life, Carolyn Kling, on May 24, 1973 and raised eight children. He and his wife fostered dozens of children through AASK AZ. He was a fleet manager in the auto business for many years. He will be remembered for his quick wit, his storytelling ability, and his great sense of humor.
He was greeted in heaven by his beloved wife Carolyn, his daughter, Lizbeth Leticia (Betsy); his parents; his sister, Betty Crull; and his brother-in-law, Jean Cross. He is survived by his daughter, Teresa (Daniel) Bengtson; son, Daniel (Sarah), grandsons, Tony and Tommy; son, Brett (Patricia), grandsons, Noah and Preston, granddaughter, Mckenzie; son David (Michelle), granddaughter, Jordyn, grandson, Dylan; daughters, Rebecca (JoJo) and Anna; son Michael; sisters, Alice Cross and Lynn Thomas; and numerous cousins, nieces, nephews and brother’s-in-law and sister’s-in-law.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00am, Thurs. Feb. 28, 2013 at Christ the King Catholic Church, 1551 E. Dana Ave., Mesa, AZ. A Visitation will take place Wed. evening, Feb. 27, 2013 from 5:00pm to 8:00pm at Lakeshore Mortuary, 1815 S. Dobson Rd., Mesa, AZ, with a Rosary to start at 7:00pm. Interment will be at Queen of Heaven Cemetery, 1562 E. Baseline Rd., Mesa, AZ. Reception at Christ the King Catholic Church Presentation Hall following burial.
