He was born in 1935 at home in Detroit, Michigan to Peter & Levia Vitale. He had two brothers & one sisters (Gus, Virginia & Pete).
Frank grew up in Detroit and raised his family in St. Clair Shores, MI until moving to Mesa, AZ, in 1995.
Frank was an Airman in the Air Force in the Reserve for six years. He also had jobs as a butcher, warehouse distribution operator, and finally retired from ANR Freight in Troy, MI after 33 years at the early age of 60 and moved to sunny Arizona.
Frank and the love of his life, Sandy, were married on Valentine’s Day 1969, which always led to February being a special month.
Frank's retirement consisted of soaking up the sun, gardening, and planting orange and lemon trees. Upon arrival in AZ, he quickly became friends to all that he met. He helped everyone with their chores, errands, and watched over them all for the rest of his life. He was a caring and giving soul to the end. This proved to be a very long, healthy, and happy life.
Among his passions in life, he loved watching western movies, sitting in the sun, sampling Costco products, and collecting coins, trains, clocks, watches, and stamps.
Frank was an astounding Husband, Father, and Grandfather with the sweetest and calmest demeanor. He would work for hours on Legos and puzzles with his grandkids.
He is survived by his beloved wife Sandy of over 54 years, and his three children: Carol (Ian), Anthony (Lora), and Mike (Stephanie) & two grandchildren: Sage (17) & Freddy (13). Also, Dogfather to Alexander, Sunshine (cat) & Jackson.
Frank will be greatly missed by many and will remain in all our hearts.
