Gary was born in Springfield, Ohio on April 16, 1943 to Erma (Young) and William Patton. He has one sister Margaret. He was a proud Ohio State Buckeye and graduated in 1965. He served his country in the Army and was a veteran of the Vietnam War.
Gary married Elizabeth Huber on June 7, 1969. They were married for 52 years during which time they had three sons (Brad, Brian and Greg). They moved to Arizona in 1982. Gary was the proud grandfather to 5 grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, September 25th at 1pm at Mariposa Gardens in Mesa.
