

Glen Dale Bray, “Big Daddy,” “Papa,” born February 22, 1934 in Healdton, Oklahoma to Lloyd and Alice Bray, passed away April 29, 2015 in Mesa, Arizona. Glen has one sister, Sue. At the age of 5 years old, his family moved to Yuma, Arizona. Glen attended Yuma High School. He joined the Army in 1952 and served 4 years, of which 2 years were in Alaska. He was a member of the military police. After leaving the Army, he went to work at the Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office where he was a homicide detective and also worked in narcotics. He was the pitcher for their softball team. After retiring from the Sheriff’s office, he went to work for Ray Korte Chevrolet for 15 years. He was their #1 Salesman. He had 5 children; Patrick, Michael, Kerri, Christina, and Rick; 16 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. He came to know Jesus as Savior and Lord in July 1982 when Dee and her evangelism explosion team were going door-to-door and they knocked on his door. Glen and Dee married August 7, 1983 and were married almost 32 years. Glen was a good and faithful husband, a loving father, and a wonderful Papa to his grandchildren and great grandchildren. One of his favorite things to do was spend time at their cabin with his family. He was a good, honest man who helped many people.
