Helen D. Smigel, 89, of Mesa, AZ passed away Thursday, Jan. 12, 2012 in Mesa. She was born July 16, 1922 in Los Angeles, CA. Helen owned and operated Helen’s Antiques in Pinetop, AZ for over 25 years. She was a member of the Ladies Guild of King of Kings Lutheran Church. Helen was recognized for her hours of volunteer service at Mesa Lutheran Hospital.
Helen is survived by her loving daughter: Jeannine Stauss; son-in- law: Tony Stauss: two grandchildren: Robert (Michele) Stauss and Rochelle (Stan) Weston; four great grandchildren: Lynzee & Lauren Stauss and Ashlee & Amberlee Weston. She is preceded in death by her husband Albert T. Smigel in January of 1996.
Visitation for Helen will be held Thursday, January 19, 2012 from 5:00 to 7:00 pm at Melcher Mission Chapel, 6625 E. Main Street, Mesa, AZ. 85205. Funeral services will be Friday, January 20, 2012 at 11:00 am at King of Kings Evangelical Lutheran Church, 812 N. Meridian Road, Apache Junction, AZ. Interment will be in City of Mesa Cemetery, Mesa, AZ.
