

James Kenneth McBay was born on February 10, 1949 at home in Limestone County, Alabama to the late Sam H. McBay and Alma Cooley McBay. He went home to heaven on December 11, 2021.
Kenneth McBay grew up in Alabama met and married his high school sweetheart Rebecca Sandra Houston on January 3rd 1969. He also leaves two sons, Seth McBay of Denver, CO. and Kent McBay (wife) Lindsey McBay of Mesa, AZ. In addition, he leaves four grandchildren, Kensey, Karmen, Kendall, and Kent Jared.
Kenneth McBay is survived by a sister; Itylean (Bobby) White of Athens AL, two sister-in-law Nanette McBay of Clements AL. and Martha Ann McBay of Athens Al. Kenneth was preceded in death by his mother and father, and his brothers Tyler, Leon, Clifford, Buford, Glenn, and sister Nina Clark. He will be fondly remembered by many nieces and nephews, extended family and friends.
Kenneth worked at South Limestone Co-op in Belle Mina, AL and retired as Supervisor after 42 years. He was a member at First Baptist Church of Tanner AL for 46 years where he served as a deacon. He and Sandra moved to Arizona in 2016 where he joined North Mesa Baptist Church of Mesa, AZ where his son Kent is Pastor. Kenneth enjoyed many hobbies including hunting arrowheads and Indian artifacts, fishing the Tennessee river for catfish and making knives and arrowheads. He also never tired of talking Alabama football.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00pm on Sunday, Dec. 19, 2021, at the First Baptist Church Tanner, 11590 US- 31 Tanner, AL.
