

He was born on February 9, 1948, to Edna and Everett Weaver in Rapid City, South Dakota. He graduated in 1967 from Central High School in Rapid City, South Dakota and in December joined the Marines. After 2 tours in Vietnam, Jim was honorably discharged and returned home. He started working for Bell Telephone Company.
He married LeeAnn Clark and had a daughter, Angela, and a son, Chad. He later married Mickey Mello, the love of his life and spent the next 43 years making memories. After retirement they spent 11 years living in a fifth wheel camper in Wickenburg, AZ before moving into a house where they lived until 2024. They then moved to a 55+ community in Mesa, AZ.
A lot of the last 13 years were spent on their motorcycle traveling to many sites in the US and cruises to Mexico and Alaska. Most recently was a trip to Puerto Vallarta in January with family and friends.
He is survived by his wife, Mickey, sons Chad Weaver, Scott Larson, Michael Larson, and brother Terry Weaver, grandchildren Stephan, Lindsey, and Dustin Larson, Calvin, Benjamin, and Colton Weaver. Aunts Alta Dexter and Omel Weaver and lots of cousins and many friends.
In addition to his daughter, Angela Weaver, he was preceded in death by his parents, Edna and Everett Weaver, grandparents John and Reve Henderson and Richard and Helen Weaver.
Burial will be at a later date at the Black Hills National Veterans Cemetery in South Dakota.
