Jean Marie Post

Jean Marie Post passed away January 28, 2015 in Gilbert, Arizona. Jean was born August 27, 1924 to Francis and Catherine Murphy in Glen Cove, New York. She was the first of four children. She married the love of her life Robert Post on January 29, 1944. They raised 6 children and later moved to Arizona to join some of them here. Jean spent many years as an obstetrics nurse as well as being a full-time mother. Jean was a lively woman who loved to watch her favorite game shows Wheel of Fortune and Jeopardy. She enjoyed putting together puzzles with her kids and grandkids over the years. She was always known for cooking delicious dishes for her family. She was a lovely woman who was a wonderful mother to her children and grandchildren. She enjoyed annual cruises, sightseeing and swimming. Jean was generous and kind and will truly be missed by all who knew and loved her. She is survived by her wonderful children Elizabeth Benevento, Marie Haas, and Heather Perry, Robert Post, Frank Post, and William Post. A Visitation will be held Sunday, February 01, 2015 from 6 to 9pm with a 7pm Rosary at Funeraria Melcher Mortuary Chapel of the Roses 43 S. Stapley Drive, Mesa, Arizona 85204. She will be laid to rest Monday, February 02, 2015 at 10am at National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona 23029 N. Cave Creek Road, Phoenix, Arizona 85024.
