On Saturday, February 3, 2024, Jerry Greubel (84) peacefully went to be with his Heavenly Father.
Jerry is survived by his wife of 25 years, Judy; daughters Andrea Greubel, Lori Greubel-Wipperfurth (Chad), his son Kent Greubel and stepdaughters Michelle Hoffman (Shaw) and Jennifer Nordstrum (Jake).
Grandchildren were very special to Jerry’s heart. They all enjoyed his whistling, animal impressions and magic finger tricks. His grandchildren include grandsons Zach Fuller, Cade Wipperfurth and his step-grandchildren Maddy and Ava Thoreson, Nick and Olivia Hoffman, and Elsa, Ruby, James and Leo Nordstrum. His beautiful great-grandchildren include Croix and Brooke Fuller.
Jerry honorably served his country in the SeaBees division of the U.S. Navy stationed in Antarctica. He settled in Wisconsin Rapids, WI where he worked in the Biron paper mill many years until his retirement.
Jerry was known for his quick wit and sense of humor, as well as his gentle peaceful spirit. He loved to read, had a book for everything, and was a self-taught collector of antiques and taxidermy. He was an avid Packer and Brewer fan (and self-appointed sideline coach). He loved the outdoors; hunting and feeding all animals. He was a collector of most everything and enjoyed repairing and restoring outboard motors, being very involved in the Antique Outboard Motor Club.
Jerry and Judy enjoyed their retirement years at Lake Buckatabon in Conover, WI during the summer months and their Mesa, AZ home in the colder months. They enjoyed antiquing together and shared many laughs throughout their traveling adventures.
Jerry will be greatly missed. A private family service will be held at a later date.
