John Leonard Osborne was born in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada on February 16th, 1940 where he grew up as an adolescent until his family migrated to Scottsdale, Arizona in 1953. John graduated from Scottsdale High School and earned his Bachelor of Science at Arizona State University in 1963. John had a life-long love for jazz music and he played the clarinet, saxophone and alto saxophone. He and his wife Karen were married in 1965. They were married for 53 years raising 5 children and lived in various cities within Arizona, Texas and California. John was an incredibly hard-working man and worked in the retail field for 45 years at both FedMart & Target respectively. John enjoyed travelling with his family and taking yearly fishing trips with his brothers and close friends. John has been an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Later Day Saints since 1965. John and Karen were sealed in the temple in 1979. He is preceded in death by his parents James & Gertrude, his son Jonathan, brother Thomas and niece Stephanie. A treasured husband, brother, father, grandfather and great-grandfather, he is survived by his wife Karen (Patterson), brother Grayson, daughters Valerie Birmingham, Krista Osborne-Hayes, Kerry Osborne & Kim Gillispie, his eleven grandchildren Robert-Christopher, Colby, Jared, Kassidy, Gillian, Kara, Jackson, Lucas, Khloe, Aria and Kai; his great-grandsons Carson, Jameson & Austin. John Leonard Osborne entered into rest on June 10th, 2018.
