He lived 100 million years in the 71 years we had with him as a dinosaur (poop) excavator, pre-historic ruins explorer, wildlife hunter, meticulous gardener, enthusiastic bird-nurturer, and strong-willed entrepreneur. Most notably, Joe was an expert survivalist and lived his life prepared for the apocalypse.
Joe is survived by his loving wife, Rosie, of 43 years; 4 children, Nancy, David, Joey (Julia), and Angela; 3 grandkids, Alexzandria, Diego, and Juliana; 3 siblings Mercy, Betty, and Felix (Debra); 2 loyal companions, Cyrano and Manolo.
A viewing and rosary will be held on Friday September 4th from 6pm – 8pm at Melcher Mortuary Chapel of Roses. Due to COVID restrictions, services are limited to immediate family only, live-streaming link listed below for guests.
We’ll continue to honor Joe’s life with a memorial service on Saturday September 5th at Melcher Roses Mortuary from 12:30pm – 1:30pm. Immediately following, he will be escorted to the City of Mesa Cemetery where he will be laid to rest.
