Wonderful Mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great grandmother, and friend.
Born Judith Ann Brown on March 10, 1935 in Wisconsin. As a teenager she moved with her family to Mesa, Arizona. Her father took a civil job at Williams Air Force Base. It was there, at the community pool, that she met Edward James Ryder. They married in December 1953 and had four children – David, Susan, Deanna and, Michael.
Her faith was her constant throughout her life. She lived a simple life and believed God would always provide for her. Her faith was also what inspired her to give to others.
She was a stay at home mother until her youngest child started school. For a few years, she worked in the school cafeteria at the local elementary. She then worked for Luce Press Clippings for over 25 years. In her “retirement” she worked at the local YMCA and then returned to elementary school, working as a crossing guard. She loved her family, all the children and, being around them brought her joy. Maybe that is why she stayed so young at heart.
She collected “Angels”. Small, large, glass, wooden, cloth, necklaces, earrings, pins, clothing – any style or shape. She had a small tree that she kept up year round – full of angel ornaments of all kinds. She was angel on earth and, now she is an Angel in Heaven.
She is survived by her 4 children, 9 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and, 3 great-great-grandchildren.
