Today would be Karen's 61st birthday.  Every year on January 15th, I would send a birthday greeting to her via text.  This year, I was not able to do that and it has made me very sad.

I am Karen's cousin, Cathie.  We spent a lot of time together as children.  We actually lived together in 1965 in Liverpool, England because our mothers are sisters.

As children, we would spend time together on summer vacations, either at our house or at hers.  It was always so much fun because we would get into a lot of mischief.  Over the years, we would talk about where we went and the things we did as kids and we would laugh and laugh and laugh.

I truly miss Karen.  She had a very unique personality and a great sense of humor.  I will especially miss her laugh.  She had an outrageous laugh that was contagious.

I hope Robert and Kim will find comfort for the loss of Karen.  She really was "One of a kind".
