My sincere condolences to the Mama Cain family. For such a great legacy, know that she’s with our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, our soon coming King.

My condolences once again to you and your family for the loss of your dear mother.
There is so much I have to say about Mama Cain. It is not easy to write this but I will try to share a few memories we shared together. 
I met Mama Cain after I gave my life to Christ. She made it her duty to visit me and began studying the Bible with me. She encouraged me to become baptized and to put my trust in God.
Mama became my spiritual mother  when my mother rejected me because I became a Christian. Mama encouraged me to pray   read the Bible . Mama Cain was a great woman of faith and Sunday School teacher. It was from her I was able to gain the courage to teach the Adult Sunday School class. She invited me to her home for Sunday dinner and on the weekends to continue studying scriptures. She was a devoted Christian who spent many hours visiting new concerts to study with them and visiting the sick.
I was sharing with someone,  that mama was caring  loving and kind that I have never seen her angry with anyone. 
I remember the last time mama came to visit Belize, she insisted that her daughter Huldah take her to visit me. It was almost 9 o' clock in the night and although she was tired it seem she didn't want to leave. I cherished all the precious memories and time I got to spend with.  My heart is heavy as I  bid farewell to her but I  rejoice too because I know she is with the Lord.

Mama Cain was a true friend and serve our Lord to the deepest. She goes out at length to get people to accept Christ as their saviour. I used to go along with Mama Cain to various outreach and she loved and give advice to anyone no matter what age or culture they are. Mama Cain was my best friend and Christ follower. I will surely miss her but her memories will live on for me. She was a person who really encourages you. She goes far and beyond for her service to the Lord. Rest in Peace my best friend. I love you and will never forget you and remember all the advise that you gave me.

My dear grandmother Kathleen Cain I would love to share this memorable moment on Unity Zone. Every evening after Sunday church service we would return home and sell cocoyol also known as Supa. We use to open the little side door from the kitchen area and make our little sale. I believe Gran Gran sold the best supa because we always sold the entire bucket. I enjoy watching you make souvenirs made of beads and sew clothes for dolls. Gran Gran was very creative even in the kitchen, I loved her cooking. One Christmas morning on Flora Hernandez Street, we gather with Aunt, Yvonne, Uncle Lyndon, Clarence Jr., Berth, Daddy Dean, Grandpa Clarence (bobotch), and Clarence Jr.'s daughters and sons. That morning I saw you enjoying yourself watching us opening our presents. The glamourous smile on your face displays how grateful you were to see us all together. Gran Gran really enjoys family time. Let me say that we all were Gran Gran's best Christmas gift that year. I remember asking how I got my name, Daniel Ezekiel Cain. It was then I knew that I was saved by the hands of God just like Daniel did in the lion's den. I am forever grateful for such a wonderful name Gran Gran. I am missing you, Mama Cain, you guide and protect us all and teach us to walk in God's path. Nighty-six years of God's work I'm blessed to be a part of. Until we meet again Gran Gran. I Love you and forever your memories live within me.

Farewell to our Beloved Matriarch

As we gather here to say our final goodbyes, we are tempted to ask God why, 
Why He take away the ones we love,
but what we do know is that He only takes the best.
We always wonder,
Does He need them more than we do?
But all we can do is have faith and believe 
we'll see our loved ones again.
It’s okay to cry, It’s okay to shout, but remember
never have doubt.
Mama Cain is in a better place where there is no pain, no suffering,
And that should put a smile on our faces, because that’s what she would have wanted.
She was loved and loved very deeply.
Her legacy is filled with faith, even more heavenly.
So instead of asking God why, we can
Thank Him that she’s in the heavens looking down on us and smiling
The day will come when we all meet again
And all of us will walk hand in hand 
Together and forever and more.

Heavenly father, today we thank you for the life of mama cain, a great human in many many ways as we all know. Peacekeeper, mom, grandmother, a mentor with valuable life principles, and so much more but mostly a great follower of you, God
Today in our sinful flesh, it might be hard for us to accept her new journey. Deep down we understand and she expects our faith to be prepared in such times. We mourn not in sorrow, but with joy. 96 years of surviving earth's most challenging lessons, pain, and yes, joyful moments.
We pause and applaud mama for graduating life in style. A woman of wisdom, who always found answers through versus. Although many questions are left unanswered, we know that through faith, all answers are in the book of life. The Bible.
May her life continue to be a great influence to all of us as she now rests in christ.

As we come together to share the wonderful memories we have of you, we must admit it's not that simple to place our thoughts together. So many emotions are taking over at this point that we're trying to keep it together. 
Every morning, I would wake to the sound of your voice humming and you watering your plants. You would pull a few flowers to make me smell and then ask "Van van, which one do you think I should take for sister Dunn?" I would always decide on the pink one. 
What amazed me the most about you, is the way you cook and bake. You would force me to eat rice n beans every Sunday though I’d rather eat just bread, meat and salad. I liked all the handmade home decorations you made. You are a woman of many talents. I tried to master the basket you made out of wooden clothespins and got so frustrated that I gave up. Gran, you hurt me; I was not ready for you to go. I appreciated seeing you one last time. As my aunties say, your time on earth has now been fulfilled. Granny your work will not go unnoticed. You were a woman who walked by faith and lived by the word. You and grandpa can now dance together.

Mama Cain was my Mother in Law but I always saw her as my friend. She was so kind and loving. No matter what the question or what the circumstance she always pointed me back to Jesus and His Word.  Godly love is the highest form of love and it was all over her, everyone saw that in her.  She has  inspired me to love the Lord more deeply and to see people the way God does, with compassion and love. I miss her , she left a great mark on my life.

I have few words and sincere gratitude to God Almighty for having known Ma Cain from  my childhood through adulthood. My family and I deeply appreciate the love, prayers, visits, fellowship, food, games and crafted items we received from her. She crafted my fist schoolbag and my first table decoration for my first home! I guard each memory and wait to see her again. To the family of Ma Cain, we hold to the same hope and love she shared. With prayers for healing.

From the first time I spoke to Mama Cain, her love for the Lord and for her family shined through like a spotlight.  She was not ashamed of the gospel of Jesus Christ. Indeed, she was a faithful servant; she fought the good fight, kept the faith, and finished her course. "Henceforth there is laid up for her a crown of righteousness which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give her on that day. And not to her only but unto all who love his appearing." Hallelujah! 

Let us take comfort, especially the offspring of Mama Cain, in knowing that those who have lived in our hearts are never really gone. As long as we keep them with us in our hearts and our thoughts they will be with us always.

Children, may all who come behind Mama Cain, find us as faithful as she was.

While I only met Ms Kathleen once, it left an amazing memory.  She had come over one afternoon with Huldah & Bob.  I remember hugging her and telling her it was an honor to have her here in our home.  

Kathleen talked of her deep faith in God and together we sang "Jesus Loves the Little Children."...  and it was amazing.  

Huldah & Bob...  we love you both and are all to familiar with what you've been through.  It's time to rest in the memories you have now and to know that Granny is with Jesus, full of joy, restored, and singing "Jesus Loves the Little Children" with Him.

My grandma, our matriarch, our glue, our mama is gone (surreal). But I smile when I Flash back to my favorite memory of you. Stopping by every single day after school for water or whatever sweet treat you had made for the week. I would go straight to the kitchen and look on the stove and back out "granny" you already knew that I was about to begg, you never said "no". Your famous phrase after i would finish drinking water and eating my banana bread or bread pudding. I would say "Thanks granny I gwen" and your response: "you gwen? me wa stay den." Never missed a beat.
I love you gran and  I thank you for stepping up when our parents fell short.
