Larry was born on June 15, 1940 to Marion and Dolores Jenkins in Sweet Springs, Missouri. After graduating high school, he enlisted in the Marines and served four years. After his years of service, he worked as a lineman and technician for the phone lines between Mountain Bell and America West Airlines for 50 years, before ultimately retiring in 2012. When he wasn’t hard at work repairing telephone lines, you could find Larry feeding his cattle on his farm at home, riding his Harley across the country, and volunteering with various charitable causes.
He is preceded in death by his father, Marion; his mother, Dolores, and his brother, Danny. Survivors included his wife of 58 years, Carolyn; his children, Mike, and Becci (Richard) McPherson, his six granddaughters, and his four great-grandchildren.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, January 8, 2022 at their home.
